About ICF Mentor Coaching

Mentor coaching is an important part of a coach’s journey towards professional excellence. It is a requirement of the International Coach Federation’s (ICF) standards for accreditation and renewal, but is invaluable for coaches from all professional backgrounds.

I am a Professional Certified Coach with over 900 client hours, and a registered Mentor Coach with the ICF. I believe in working with the whole person in their coaching devleopment, not ‘ticking boxes’, and I am sensitive and experienced in working across cultures and with different neurodiversities. Read more about me here.

In ICF mentor coaching you will experience firsthand guidance through observation of your work, either in person or via recorded/transcribed sessions. This method ensures alignment with coaching competencies and markers, providing actionable feedback and insights to enhance your coaching practice.

It is particularly suited to application or renewal of an ICF accreditation (ACC or PCC), but can also really help nudge us back into sharper, more effective coaching that is aligned with our professional competencies.

Mentor coaching is currently offered 1-1, group mentor coaching may be available in future.

About Developmental Mentoring

Developmental mentoring is my term for an ongoing relationship of learning and development for coaching skills. It does not require direct observation or recording. Instead, we may work from written reflections or detailed notes, from client feedback, and through in-depth discussions and reflective learning practices.

This type of work is ideal for coaches who have clients that do not wish to be recorded for reasons of confidentiality or practicality. It is particularly helpful for coaches who work outdoors in environments where recording is challenging. It is a core part of the ICF accredited ‘Nature Based Coaching Skills’ training courses, in which the mentoring forms part of the CCEU award.

We focus on exploring strengths, celebrating what is working and identifying actionable areas of development. I draw on a reflective learning model that works particularly well for coaching, including nature based and outdoor coaches. We can choose to adopt this model as part of your developmental journey.

I am a Professional Certified Coach, Accredited ADHD Coach, mental health coach and Chartered Environmentalist. Read more about me here.
